Brent oil price falls below $40 per barrel 1st time since Feb 2009
MOSCOW, Dec 8 (PRIME) -- The Brent oil price decreased 1.82% to U.S. $39.97 per barrel as of 4:49 p.m. Moscow time on Tuesday, falling below $40 per barrel for the first time since February 2009 on the back of OPEC’s decision not to change oil production quotas, according to the exchange’s data.
The WTI price went down 2.27% to $36.80 per barrel.
